Principal's Message

To all our Tiger Community,

I hope this message finds you well as we begin our final academic quarter of the 2023-2024 school year at Martin High School. With the completion of the 3rd Nine Weeks, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on our achievements and emphasize the importance of the upcoming weeks.

First and foremost, I want to extend my gratitude to our dedicated students, parents, and staff for their unwavering commitment to academic excellence and personal growth. Despite the challenges we have faced, your resilience and perseverance continue to inspire us all.

As we move forward, I want to stress the significance of attending school each day and being punctual. Regular attendance and timeliness are essential not only for academic success but also for fostering a sense of responsibility and discipline that will serve our students well beyond their high school years.

Additionally, I want to remind our students and parents that the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) and End-of-Course (EOC) tests are fast approaching. These assessments provide valuable insights into our students' progress and readiness for college and career. It is imperative that our students approach these tests with focus, determination, and confidence, striving to do their absolute best.

To support our students in their preparation for the STAAR/EOC tests, our dedicated teachers and staff are providing targeted instruction, resources, and guidance. We encourage students to take advantage of these opportunities and to communicate any concerns or questions they may have.

Furthermore, attending tutorials is highly encouraged for all students to further prepare for the state tests. Tutorials offer additional support and personalized assistance to help students strengthen their understanding of key concepts and skills.

I urge parents to continue their invaluable support and involvement in their child's education. Your encouragement, guidance, and partnership are instrumental in helping our students reach their full potential.

In closing, let us approach the remainder of the academic year with enthusiasm, determination, and a shared commitment to excellence. Together, we can overcome any obstacles and continue to achieve great things at Martin High School.

Thank you for your ongoing support, and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Warm regards,

Mario Mireles
