🚛Laredo ISD is on the move! This morning, we proudly announced our Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Program, now available at Martin and Cigarroa High Schools!
Laredo Independent School District (LISD) takes immense pride in offering students this valuable opportunity as part of our commitment to College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR). This initiative ensures students graduate well-equipped for their futures—whether they pursue higher education, enter the workforce, or serve in the military.
Through this program, LISD provides students with hands-on training in a high-demand field, helping them earn industry-recognized certifications for high-wage careers that are critically needed in our local community. Some of our very own students have already earned their certifications and are in the process of joining the LISD family in the Transportation Department as official school bus drivers!
From the classroom to the driver’s seat, LISD is driving success from within!

Hello LISD Parents and Families,
As the holiday season approaches, we want to remind you how crucial school attendance is to your child’s academic success. Understandably, this time of year can be busy, but we want to urge you to remember how missed school days around the holidays can impact your child’s progress from kindergarten through high school.
We know that family time is precious and essential, but it’s important to remember that extended vacations can the send the wrong message about the importance of regular attendance.
So, please ensure your child is present until the winter break begins and returns to school on the scheduled dates. We greatly appreciate your support in this matter.
Happy Holidays!
🎉 Congratulations to our Martin High School Student of the Month, Denise Delgado! 🌟 Denise’s hard work, dedication, and positive attitude have truly set her apart. We are so proud of all you’ve accomplished! Keep shining, Denise! 🙌 #StudentOfTheMonth #ExcellenceInAction
